Your doctor may have told you to lose weight quickly so as to avoid obesity related and potentially fatal diseases such as high blood pressure, stroke, certain types of cancers amongst many other frightening diseases.

If not, perhaps you are fed up of lugging your ugly body fat around and have decided to lose weight to get a slim, slender, attractive and healthy body.

So you have embarked on an exercise program or have started dieting, often skipping meals in order to consume less calories to lose weight. You were delighted that you have started to shed a couple of pounds and looking better day by day until one day, you realized that your weight loss have slowed to a crawl, have stopped or you are even gaining back some of the weight you have lost. What gives? Why aren't you losing anymore weight even though you have stuck to your weight loss program as diligently as when you first started?




These are some very common but frustrating situations encountered by most people when trying to lose weight. So why is it that is is so difficult for you to lose weight while for others, they just don't get fat no matter how much junk they eat?

This is the reason why this page is created for. I will attempt to answer some of the most common questions about losing weight fast posed by my clients. I trust that they will benefit you too.

However, first and foremost, there are many methods to losing weight and keep the extra weight off forever. I have started a weight loss program and have been working out working 4 to 5 times a week. I jog on the treadmill machine for about 30 minutes at each workout but my results have been very slow. Why am I losing weight so slowly although I exercise so regularly?

Although regular exercise is good for your health and can help you to burn more calories, you must combine effective exercise with a sensible healthy diet plan to get better weight loss result.

Besides, to get the biggest bang from your exercises, you have to push up your heart rate to 70% to 80% of your maximum heart rate. That means you have to be panting when you are doing your cardio exercises in order to burn more fat.

Any exercise is better than no exercise at all, but if you are intending to lose weight, reading a book while walking on a treadmill, stationary bike or on a step up machine won't cut it.You will have to push harder.

When is the best time to exercise to induce more efficient weight loss?

The best time to exercise when you are reducing weight is in the morning before your breakfast. This is because your body first source of energy is carbohydrate and your body stores carbs in the form of glycogen in your liver and your muscles.

Now, your last meal you had when you wake up in the morning was your dinner the night before and that was probably about 14 or so hours ago. From that time until now, your body would have burned up a large proportion of your glycogen store, So when you exercise in the morning, your body have less carbs to burn and will proceed to burn your fat for energy and thus effectively helping you to lose fat immediately.


I have started a dieting and exercise program about 3 months ago and had been losing weight steadily. However, I have noticed that my weight loss have recently slowed down and now, it is almost negligible even though I am still diligently on the weight loss program? Why have I stopped losing weight?

Have you try tweaking your diet and the exercise program that you are on? You should. You see, your body is an amazing machine. It will get adapted to what you are doing.

Furthermore, you have lost quite a bit of weight since then, haven't you? So now you weigh less and is already smaller than before and thus your body need less calories than it used to. In other words, if that diet you are on is providing you 1800 a day, now, you will only need, say 1600 calories and if you have stuck to that diet, you may even put on weight.

As for exercise, the same principle applies. You used to carry a heavier body weight, now that you are lighter and say you are still running the same distance and time on your treadmill, then your cardiovascular system is simply not working as hard as before. If that is the case, you are not burning as much calories as before. So you have to tweak your diet and your exercise program for you to continue losing weight.


Do slimming pills or diet pills work?

There are many types of weight loss pills in the market.They usually help you to suppress your appetite, raise your metabolism, make you absorb less fat from the food you eat and block carbohydrate ingestion just to name a few about what these pills do.

Many of them do work but there are also many that are outright scams, So be especially careful about those people who send you junk mails peddling their slimming pills.

I am personally not in favor of taking weight loss pills because they are only temporary measures and many of them have side effects. Consider this, what do you think will happen to you when you are off the medication? Chances are very likely that you will gain back the weight you have lost. Do you really want to take these drugs for the rest of  your life? Do you know how much toxin you may be consuming and how much you have to spend?
